This soccer club joins the 30K club with their latest fundraiser, surpassing $30,000 raised since their first TeamFund Fundraiser in 2020 – we are thrilled to tell their story!
Airdrie & District Soccer Association is a soccer club serving Airdrie and neighbouring areas with a fun, safe, and inclusive soccer experience for their community!
There are over 20 teams with over 200 athletes being supported from grassroots programs to competitive leagues and adult recreational soccer (for those of us who didn’t make the big leagues!)
This club is always looking to level up and this year they aren’t stopping: they are working on a new field and have recently been accredited as a Quality Soccer Provider in June 2023.
The club is proud of its achievements and always raising the bar – aimed at being community leaders and developing leadership, teamwork, relationship building, and personal development to their athletes both on and off the field!
Big Clubs Mean Big Budgets
One challenge of running a large club is raising fees. Improving programs and being a top-notch soccer program means costs are rising as they gain new equipment, improve infrastructure, and develop coaches and new programming.
One part of inclusivity means ensuring soccer is as financially barrier-free as possible for its members. Like many clubs they avoid raising fees for their members through fundraising initiatives and financial assistance programs like JumpStart and KidSport.
We had the opportunity to speak to some of the club staff about their TeamFund Fundraiser!
In their June 2023 fundraiser, the soccer club raised over $5800 to help offset registration fees.
The organizer was impressed at how organized the delivery day was, with everything quickly organized and ready to go before pick-up started.
The day was smooth and efficient, with parents arriving early to pick up their food from their Fill Your Freezer fundraiser.
We excitedly discussed the awaiting food, from cheesecakes to chicken, sausage, burgers, and other summer favourites!
TeamFund allows families to purchase practical food fundraising products online and help alleviate some of the membership fees of soccer at the same time!
Each player who participates is given a percentage of the profits that they raise and the rest goes to the club for other operational costs and financial assistance programs.

TeamFund fundraisers are repeatable. Even though administration changes year-over-year, “passing the torch” to a new fundraising coordinator is a seamless process and still provides stellar results for the club!
