<li>pinch saffron (optional)</li>
<li>1/2 cup dry white wine</li>

<p>1. Bring a pot of water to a boil. Add pasta to boiling water.</p>
<p>2. Using a large skillet, melt 1 tbsp of butter over medium heat.</p>
<p>3. Add leek, garlic and onion.  Saute until translucent.</p>
<p>4. Add shrimp, tarragon and saffron. Cook until shrimp begins to pink, about 3-5 minutes.</p>
<p>5. Remove shrimp from the skillet.</p>
<p>6. Deglaze the pan with the wine.  Add the remaining butter.  Reduce the heat, and allow it to thicken.</p>
<p>7. Return shrimp to the sauce.</p>
<p>8. Drain pasta and add to the skillet.</p>
<p>9. Mix pasta and shrimp together and serve.</p></div>

<li>100ml heavy cream</li>
<li>1 c. water</li>
<li>naan or basmati rice (for serving)</li>

				<div class="et_pb_text_inner"><h3><strong>Directions</strong><strong></strong></h3>
<p>1. Dice chicken into bite sized pieces.</p>
<p>2. Marinate chicken with lemon juice, 1 tsp chili pepper and salt, for about 20 minutes.</p>
<p>3. Mix yogurt, 1 tsp fenugreek, oil, turmeric, ½ Tbsp garlic, ½ Tbsp ginger, 1 tsp garam masala.</p>
<p>4. Toss chicken in marinade, and refrigerate at least 12 hours. </p>
<p>5. Puree cashews and tomatoes together, set aside.</p>
<p>6. Heat a skillet to high heat.  </p>
<p>7. Melt 1 tbsp of butter.  Add the chicken.  </p>
<p>8. Cook the chicken until the liquid has cooked out and the chicken begins to turn golden.</p>
<p>9. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.</p>
<p>10. Reduce the heat to medium and add remaining butter, cinnamon, cloves and cardamom.  Cook for one minute.</p>
<p>11. Add remaining ginger, garlic and chilis.  Fry until fragrant, about 1 minute.</p>
<p>12. Add the tomato cashew puree,  chili powder, sugar and salt.</p>
<p>13. Mix and cook until the sauce thickens and pulls away from the sides of the pan.  </p>
<p>14. Add water, and bring to a boil.</p>
<p>15. Add the chicken, reduce to a simmer and cook for about 5 minutes.</p>
<p>16. Add remaining garam masal and fenugreek.</p>
<p>17. Turn off the heat, and pour cream around the dish.</p>
<p>18. Serve with naan or basmati rice.  </p></div>

<li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1"><span style="font-weight: 400;"><strong>Cook your bacon in a medium pan until slightly crispy.</strong> Remove the bacon from the pan, but don&#8217;t forget to <em>reserve the grease! </em></span><span style="font-weight: 400;"></span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1"><b>Fry your onion in the bacon grease until soft and transluscent. </b>About 5 minutes. </li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1"><b>Add the sugar</b> and continue cooking until your onions are caramelized. About 10-15 minutes.</li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1"><span style="font-weight: 400;"><strong>Add water, coffee, and your reserved bacon to the pan.</strong> Cook until the consistency is thick like jam. About 7-10 minutes. </span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1"><b>Finish with balsamic and serve!</b></li>
</ol>
<p><em><b>Have leftovers?</b> Be sure to let the jam cool completely before transferring to a jar. </em></p>

<p><strong></strong></p>
<p>1. Broil sausage for two or three minutes to partially cook. Slice to bite-size portions and set aside.</p>
<p>2. Coat the bottom of a deep skillet with olive oil and heat on low. Add the garlic and onion; simmer until the garlic is golden brown.</p>
<p>3. Add all other ingredients, including the sausage and bring to a slow boil over medium heat.</p>
<p>4. Simmer sauce for about two and a half hours. Boil and drain pasta. Spoon sauce over pasta and sprinkle with cheese.</p>
<p>5. Once done, top with parsley, basil, or any herbs and spices you like. Serve and enjoy!</p></div>

<p>The cooking directions will depend on your desired method. There is no superior technique; they are all great depending on the desired outcome, it’s good to understand more than one cooking alternative, but for these ideas, you will generally want to keep your heat on medium for a gradual cook and turn the sausages often to achieve a uniform heat and colour throughout.</p>

<h4><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Should I Pierce The Sausages?</strong></span></h4>
<p>Some recipes suggest that you should pierce or score the sausages during cooking. Those sausages have an abundance of excess fat and liquids that need to escape. Spolumbo’s sausages are made from premium whole ground muscle, we do not add fat, fillers, or trim, and therefore our products tend to start leaner than many other typical sausages. For best results we recommend that you<span> </span><strong>DO NOT pierce</strong><span> </span>our sausages during cooking. Those natural juices ensure a moist and flavorful finish that stays IN the product.</p>

<h4><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>On Your Stovetop</strong></span></h4>
<p>1. Cover the bottom of your pan with some water for a bit of liquid to prevent the outside of the sausages from burning while the internal meat simmers slowly to temperature.</p>
<p>2. Cover with a lid to trap in the steam, and cook on medium for around 10-12 minutes.</p>
<p>2. Now uncover to allow the water to evaporate and begin to develop a nice sear on the outside of the sausage by turning frequently until brown.</p>
<p>4. That’s it! Enjoy the sausage on it’s own or add to any recipe.</p>

<p>1. First cover a baking sheet with foil or parchment paper, this will help make cleanup a breeze. Then place the sausages on the lined sheet.</p>
<p>2. Pre-heat oven to 350°F and bake sausages for 20-25 minutes, or until proper internal temperature is reached. Be sure to turn them over once or twice – around every 5-7 minutes to ensure even browning.</p>
<p>3. Let stand outside oven for 5 minutes and serve.</p>
<p>4. Hint – this also works well and tastes great if you take them out of the oven a bit earlier and then finish them for 2-5 minutes on a high-heat open BBQ to add grill marks.</p></div>

<p>1. Heat up your grill on medium-high to about 375°F. We like to sear them on high before letting them sit.</p>
<p>2. Cook for about 15-20 minutes. You will want to turn them consistently to ensure they come out golden brown! Don’t worry if the casings split open, this is a natural behaviour sometimes, but try and keep the opening facing upwards so that most of the juices trying to escape will flow back into the sausage. If the sausage is hot enough to split the casing then it’s a good sign that they are close to being done.</p>
<p>3. That’s it! Cooking Spolumbo’s Sausage on the grill is one of the easiest methods.</p></div>

<p>1. Cut steaks into 1-inch cubes.  Season with salt, and set aside. </p>
<p>2. In a small bowl, whisk together brown sugar and bourbon.</p>
<p>3. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.</p>
<p>4. Add steak and sear all sides, about one minute each.</p>
<p>5. Pour the sauce over the steak, and cook for one more minute to cook out the alcohol, spooning the glaze over the steak. </p>
<p>6. Remove from heat, garnish with chopped parsley.</p></div>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">I usually have some form of chicken, always have bacon and everything else is basic pantry staples. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">This is a meal that is really quite simple to make but has some complex flavors going on.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;"> It is a good one to pull out on an evening when you are running to sports or kids&#8217; activities! </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">My family loves to point out that this is one of Scarlett Witch’s favorite meals because it reminds her of growing up. <em>Hey! Whatever works to get people to eat!</em></span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">If you don&#8217;t like things spicy, use smoked or sweet paprika, if you like it hot, feel free to spice it up with spicy paprika! </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">I use a blend of smoky and spicy to try to please all the flavour palettes I have around the house.</span></p></div>

<li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1"><span style="font-weight: 400;">1 Medium onion, chopped</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1"><span style="font-weight: 400;">1 Green bell pepper, chopped</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1"><span style="font-weight: 400;">¼ cup all-purpose flour</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1"><span style="font-weight: 400;">2 Tablespoons paprika</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1"><span style="font-weight: 400;">½ teaspoon dried marjoram (can substitute Oregano if needed)</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1"><span style="font-weight: 400;">1 ½ pounds chicken cut into 1” dice</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1"><span style="font-weight: 400;">2 cups low sodium chicken broth</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1"><span style="font-weight: 400;">8 ounces egg noodles</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1"><span style="font-weight: 400;">½ cup sour cream (or plain greek yogurt)</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1"><span style="font-weight: 400;">2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley</span></li>

<p><strong></strong></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">1. Bring a pot of water to a boil and add enough kosher salt to make the water salty.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">2. Cook bacon in a separate skillet over medium heat for about 2 minutes.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">3. Add the onion and the green pepper to the bacon and cook for 3 more minutes.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">4. Combine the flour, paprika, marjoram, and 1 tsp of salt in a large bowl. Add the chicken and toss to coat.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">5. Push the bacon and vegetables off to one side in the pan, turn the heat up to medium-high, add the chicken and any remaining flour mixture to the other side, and cook, turning until brown on all sides- about 6 minutes.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">6. Stir together the chicken, bacon, and vegetables and cook for two more minutes.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">7. Add the chicken broth to the meat mixture and bring it to a boil. Stir then reduce heat to medium-low cover and cook until chicken is cooked through about 10 minutes.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">8. Meanwhile, add the egg noodles to the pot of boiling water and cook as per the label directions.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">9. Uncover the chicken pot, increase the temperature to high and cook for 2 minutes. Reduce heat to low and stir in the sour cream and parsley and cook for another 2 minutes. Season to taste, and serve over the egg noodles.</span></p></div>

<p>1. Bake or barbecue sausages until almost done.</p>
<p>2. Cut to bite-size portions and set aside. Heat oil over medium heat in a deep fry pan. Add potatoes.</p>
<p>3. Cook potatoes 5 minutes; add peppers, onions and garlic. Cook 10 minutes more, stirring occasionally. Peppers should begin to soften; potatoes will be crispy brown.</p>
<p>4. Add sausage, simmer an additional 10 minutes. Mix in remaining spices one at a time.</p></div>

<p>1. Mix brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, rosemary and salt in a small dish.  </p>
<p>2. Rub all over the outside of the roast.</p>
<p>3. Cover and marinate in the refrigerator for a minimum of 30 minutes.  </p>
<p>4. Chop onion into large chunks, skin on.  Smash skin-on garlic.  Mix together and place on aluminum foil with sides turned in to create a small bowl. </p>
<p>5. Remove roast from the fridge, and let it come to room temperature.  </p>
<p>6. Centre the roast on a barbeque spit.</p>
<p>7. Place onion and garlic pouch in the centre of the barbeque, this will sit just below the roast.  </p>
<p>8. Place spit onto the grill, and turn on to high heat.  </p>
<p>9. Roast on high heat for 15 minutes, to sear the outside of the roast.</p>
<p>10. Turn down the grill to medium heat, and roast until finished. </p>
<p>11. Baste with BBQ sauce every 15 minutes.</p>
<p>12. Cook to 135℉ for medium rare doneness.  About 45 minutes, depending on the size of roast.</p>
<p>13. When the desired doneness is reached, remove from the barbeque and allow the roast to rest at least 10 minutes.</p>
<p>14. Slice and serve.</p></div>

<li>⅓ c. extra virgin olive oil</li>
<li>1 lemon, juiced</li>
<li>1-2 cloves garlic, crushed</li>
<li>1 Tbsp Dijon mustard</li>
<li>2 Tbsp dried oregano</li>
<li>1 Tbsp dried parsley</li>
<li>Salt and pepper to taste</li>
<li>2 bell peppers</li>
<li>1 zucchini</li>
<li>1 onion</li>
<li>1 eggplant</li>

<p>1. Soak skewers in water.</p>
<p>2. Whisk together oil, mustard, lemon juice, garlic, oregano, parsley, salt and pepper.</p>
<p>3. Dice chicken thighs into bite sized pieces. </p>
<p>4. Pour ⅔ of marinade over the chicken, and coat fully.  </p>
<p>5. Cover and refrigerate; minimum 1 hour.  </p>
<p>6. While the chicken marinates, dice veggies into large chunks, quarters to eighths.</p>
<p>7. Toss veggies in remaining marinade.</p>
<p>8. Place onion and green pepper on one set of skewers, zucchini and eggplants on another.</p>
<p>9. Remove chicken from fridge, and allow to come to room temperature while grill heats up.  </p>
<p>10. Preheat the grill to 400F.</p>
<p>11. Place skewers on the grill, spaced about 1 inch apart.</p>
<p>12. Grill on all sides, about 1 min per side for onion and pepper, 3 min per side for chicken, zucchini and eggplant.  </p>
<p>13. Remove from the grill and allow the meat to rest.  Great served over orzo or straight from the stick! </p></div>
