AboutĀ Gymtastics Gym Club
You cannot miss the iconic star logo of the Gymtastics Gym Club while driving down Deerfoot Trail in Calgary, Alberta. Since 1991, the club has bene providing gymnastics, tumbling, and trampoline programming to youth of all ages (preschool – 18) in both recreational and competitive settings,
Gymtastics provides a unique, innovative and creative approach to gymnastics that focuses not only on developing skill, but also on personal development on an emotional, mental, and physical level.
One of Gymtastics’ great displays of creativity is Gymtwinkle: a teaching aide, mascot, and relatable friend for preschool students. Gymtwinkle provides a fun and creative twist on instruction and their presence in the gym represents the belief thatĀ every child is a star, just as they are!
This colourful and family-friendly gym offers a safe space for kids to expand their comfort zone, grow their love for fitness, and reach their fullest potential.Ā
A Place for All Ages, Abilities, andĀ Affordable Family Fun
Gymnastics improves all-around physical health and can provide an excellent base for all sports and life skills. Age-appropriate instruction and a focus on individual goals and growth mean that Gymtastics is always on a mission to ensure that its customers are satisfied with its programming. They even use their gym as a community event space with certified instructors, obstacle courses, and gymnastics activities for birthday parties!Ā Ā
Maintaining such a shining facility requires a lot of dollars. In order to keep their programming affordable, Gymtastics runs several fundraising initiatives throughout the year to support families.
One fundraiser they have returned to once (sometimes twice!) every year since 2020 is TeamFund Fundraising. Gymtastics partners with TeamFund to offer families delicious products while earning an average of 20% profits of all sales to help maintain equipment and purchase new equipment.
Food fundraising has helped to partially fund equipment such as trampoline mats, a pit bar, vaulting pit, and barrier curtains to keep the facility up-to-date.
