About Us

TeamFund is a growing fundraising and events support company serving local nonprofits, community causes, and small organizations. We take care of the logistics and admin side, so our clients can focus on their mission.

We’re looking for someone reliable, detail-oriented, and grounded who isn’t afraid of “day-to-day” work: organizing, tracking, following instructions, and occasionally getting some boots on the ground.

About the Role

TeamFund is seeking a Part-Time Administrative & Sales Assistant (Contract) to support our growing fundraising platform. This position combines administrative duties with customer outreach and light sales work. If you’re organized, personable, and confident on the phone, this could be a great fit.

This is a remote, structured-hours role. You’ll be expected to work Monday to Thursday, approximately 9:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., with some limited flexibility for school drop-offs or personal appointments. It’s ideal for someone looking for consistent daytime hours without a full-time commitment.

On occasion, we may send you out to visit groups to help oversee their deliveries. It’s the fun part: you get to present large cheques and help groups stay organized.

Work Schedule

This position follows the school-year calendar, making it ideal for individuals with children or others who prefer seasonal downtime:

  • Start Date: September

  • Work through Fall until mid-December

  • Winter Break Off

  • Resume in January, work until Late May/June

  • Summers Off: July and August are off

  • Spring Break Off: Aligned with the school calendar

Key Responsibilities

  • Sales Support & Customer Outreach:
Call existing and prospective clients (teams, clubs, schools) to follow up on inquiries, explain our fundraising model, and encourage next steps.

  • Cold Calling & Follow-Up:
Make outbound calls to potential new clients. You’ll need to be comfortable introducing TeamFund and handling objections confidently.

  • Customer Service:
Respond to emails and inbound phone calls. You’ll be the first point of contact for many of our users.

  • CRM & Admin Tasks:
Maintain accurate records in our CRM, assist with tracking campaign details, and support the day-to-day flow of operations.

  • Use of Tech Tools:
Work with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Gmail), Slack, Trello, and our CRM to stay organized and on-task.

What We’re Looking For

  • Phone Confidence:
You must be at ease speaking with customers and prospects on the phone. This role involves outbound calling.

  • Sales Attitude (Required):
You don’t need to be pushy, but you must be proactive and motivated to reach out and follow up.

  • Experience Not Required:
We’ll train the right person with a great attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn. Previous experience in sales, customer service, or admin is a plus—but not required.

  • Punctual & Reliable:
You can commit to showing up consistently during the expected work hours, with limited flexibility.

  • Self-Starter:
You’re organized, self-directed, and don’t need to be micromanaged.

  • Tech-Savvy:
Comfortable learning tools like Google Workspace, Slack, and CRM systems.

  • Bonus: Fundraising Familiarity:
Experience with minor sports, school fundraising, or community campaigns is a strong asset.

Ideal For Someone Who

  • Wants structured part-time work during the school day

  • Prefers remote work with a reliable weekly rhythm

  • Is returning to the workforce or balancing family responsibilities

  • Has strong people skills and enjoys talking on the phone

  • Understands or has participated in community/team fundraising

Compensation

  • Hourly contract rate, based on experience

  • This is a Independant Contractor role

  • No employee benefits are provided
