Effective Small Town Fundraising
Raise more with grocery essentials.
Small town fundraising has its challenges. With limited fundraising options and difficulties getting delivery to rural areas, raising the money you need can feel like it requires a mountain of effort.
With TeamFund, you can purchase big box grocery store products at big city / bulk pricing and earn an average of 20% profits from all sales. Better yet, your delivery date is assigned after you sign up, so you can plan in advance for delivery day.
Overcoming the Challenges of Small Town Fundraising
For over a decade, we have helped schools, sports teams, clubs, and other like yours raise the funds they need.
By understanding the challenges that come with rural fundraising, we’ve developed a fundraising plan that works.
The Challenge: A Smaller Population
The Opportunity: Stronger Sense of Community
Effective fundraising isn’t just about raising money but fostering a strong sense of community.
When your community is small and close-knit, relationships and personal connections feel more tangible. By involving your community, your organization can build lasting support for your cause to help you raise more year after year.
The Challenge: Fewer Fundraising Options
The Opportunity: Three Tasty Food Fundraisers to Choose From! (+ No Upfront Costs)
Your rural community can gain access to harder-to-find and tasty products like bulk boxes of locally sourced meats (bacon, burgers, steaks, sausages, scallops, chicken), convenient products (chicken tenders, steak & gravy pies, meatballs), desserts (tarts, cakes), and more!
- Bacon Fundraiser: A perfect starter fundraiser with 11 lb boxes of Fresh Canadian bacon sourced in Ontario with 3 options to choose from (medium, thick, extra thick)
- Fill Your Freezer: All your grocery favourites in one including Gluten-Free, Vegetarian, Halal, and Vegan options. Focus on the convenience of supporting your cause and making weekday meals easier at the same time!
- BBQ Meats: A mix of fresh and frozen meats that are Alberta, local, and Canadian raised in convenient and family-friendly packaging.
PLUS delivery is FREE with a minimum order volume (Search Your Location Below for more info).
Delivery fees (if minimums aren’t met) are deducted from your overall profits, meaning you don’t need to pay any upfront fees to give TeamFund a try!
The Challenge: Limited access to large retailers / Residents spread out over large distances.
The Opportunity: Prepare for Delivery in Advance!
We deliver to over 500+ cities and towns in Alberta, British Columbia, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario, the Northwest Territories and Yukon Territories.
Your delivery day and window are communicated after sign up so you can prepare volunteers and supporters in advance.
Deliveries are made to a commercial address (such as your club location, hockey rink, arena, studio, or other common meeting spot) for convenient pickup!

The Challenge: Limited Technology / Service
The Opportunity: Multiple Purchasing Options
Our fundraisers are all online and can be accessed through a phone, tablet, or computer!
Alternatively, paper order forms are available for our bacon fundraiser only or bulk orders can be made by the organizer and assigned to the appropriate person for residents who may not have easy access to technology.
The Challenge: Fundraising Burnout
The Opportunity: Practical Products (Everyone needs to eat!)
Often groups from the same town will “take turns” or combine fundraisers so that families are well stocked for groceries and prevent burnout caused by constant fundraising.
Many groups return 1-2x per year to restock and raise massive funds! We also switch out products seasonally while keeping the favourites so it always feels fresh and exciting!
Be sure to check in with other local groups if you have concerns about timing, or reach out to us to discuss the ideal dates for your next fundraiser!
BONUS Opportunity: Repeated Fundraisers Tend To Raise Even More Over Time!
Once you’ve had the opportunity to taste the food, you and your supporters will be hooked.
Not only will you enjoy the tasty options, but community members will be excited to order and support your cause next time you need to raise funds.
Promote, Promote, Promote! This is one of the most important steps to plan for. By leveraging tools like local bulletin boards, social media profiles, and word of mouth, you can ensure your fundraiser gets the traffic it deserves.
You’re not alone! TeamFund is here to support you with a robust suite of tools and features designed with your organization in mind, from detailed reporting to help you distribute funds to easy-to-share marketing assets and more!
