TeamFund makes its first visit to the Maritimes, exploring Amherst, Halifax, Moncton, Fredricton and many other cities along the way to introduce our online food fundraisers to schools, sports teams, and community groups in the area.

Bringing TeamFund Fundraising to Nova Scotia & New Brunswick

This Fall, our founder, Dominique, had the incredible opportunity to head out East and introduce TeamFund Fundraising to Nova Scotia and New Brunswick – a trip that was both exciting and inspiring.

The goal? Explore how our team fundraising platform can support passionate schools, sports clubs, and community groups in the Maritimes.

Landing in Halifax: Meeting Our Partners Who Deliver Fundraising in Nova Scotia

Dominique first touched down in Halifax, crossed into Darmouth, and drove through Windsor and several small towns along the way. The warmth and hospitality were remarkable: open, friendly, and full of community spirit.

One highlight was visiting our supplier, Gordon Food Service in Amherst. They have a massive distribution network reaching from Western to Atlantic Canada. With proven success from our partnerships with Gordon Foods in Calgary, Edmonton, and Winnipeg, we are excited to offer these easy and profitable fundraisers in a new area.

Their logistics network ensures that fundraisers in Nova Scotia and New Brunswick get reliable deliveries five days a week, a game-changer for local schools and teams.Ā

Journeying to New Brunswick: Local CommunitiesĀ

Each town had a classic Maritimes’ character – tight-knit, welcoming, and proud of their local programs and sports.Ā

A quick day trip to Shediac during Lobster Fest (eating like a queen!) served a friendliness and pride that made it clear why these communities are such a perfect fit for TeamFund, fundraising people care deeply about supporting one another.Ā

As a Francophone, Dominique was thrilled to connect in French with local organizations in New Brunswick, adding a personal touch to every meeting.Ā

Introducing Bacon Fundraising in Nova Scotia & New Brunswick

The feedback from groups we met in person was overwhelmingly positive. Coaches, parents, and organizers loved how simple the bacon fundraiser is to run and how quickly it can bring in meaningful results. Many say they plan to make it part of their next hockey fundraiser, football fundraiser, dance fundraiser, or swimming fundraiser.

Here’s what groups who have already tried this fundraiser across other Canadian cities have to say:Ā

From start up to delivery this fundraiser is a well oiled machine. Very organized and great support throughout. Fantastic products that truly sell themselves. We’re hooked on theĀ bacon.Ā – Calvin, Google Review

TeamFund was amazing! They did all of the work, I only had to give them the details for the fundraiser. We decided to do theĀ baconĀ fundraiser. They were able to connect each sale to a player so we were able to keep track of how many each player (family) sold. I had many people tell me this was a great idea for a fundraiser and I completely agree. Side note, theĀ baconĀ tastes amazing!!Ā Melody, Google Review

Our baconĀ fund raiser practically sold itself. Just a few things to complete when we signed up and TeamFund did the majority of the heavy lifting until pick up day. Our group was very happy about everything being purchased on-line so we didn’t have to manage the money personally. Our group was very happy with the direction provided by TeamFund, the value for our supporters, and the product. We look forward to working with TeamFund again. Angela, Google Review

TeamFund has easily been the best fundraiser we have used! The communication, marketing strategies, and the selling platform makes everything seamless. This fundraiser has become an integral part of raising funds for our program, and we will surely be repeat clients every year! –Ā Shantel, Google Review

Meeting Local Organizations and Sports Teams

Throughout the trip, we met with a wide range of groups – from cheerleading and dance teams to gymnastics clubs, hockey teams, and football organizations.

Fundraising is a constant need across the Maritimes, especially for groups that travel long distances for competitions and tournaments and need to raise funds to cover these costs.

TeamFund’s mission is to make sports fundraising, team fundraising, and school fundraising easier and more rewarding. The enthusiasm from local groups have made it clear that there’s a real appetite for modern, transparent, and community-driven solutions.
